A Fresh 48 session is a beautiful way to capture the precious first hours of a newborn’s life. Taken within the first 48 hours after birth, or around day 2-3, these sessions document the raw, emotional, and intimate moments as families welcome their newest member.
With a focus on natural light and minimal posing, Fresh 48 sessions preserve the tiny details—wrinkled fingers, hospital bracelets, first yawns, and the overwhelming love shared in those early bonding moments.
Unlike our traditional newborn photography sessions, Fresh 48 sessions capture the real, unscripted story of a baby’s first day, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. We capture little wriggles, flexing toes, cries, smiles and baby yawns. All the best details of your baby’s first few days.

$995 Fresh 48 Digital Image package
Your Fresh 48 digital image package includes the best digital images, approximately 50+.
I know you’re after your photos super-quick so you can announce baby’s arrival, so I aim to send your digital images to you within a few days of your session.
$200 deposit is due upon booking, with the remaining amount due 14 days before your due date.

Further hospitals may be available on request, including Wesley, Greenslopes, Redlands, SCUH and GCUH. Travel fee applies.
Book your Fresh 48 session during pregnancy, and then contact me ASAP on the same day once baby has arrived.
Please note, we can’t generally accommodate next-day sessions if you haven’t pre-booked. However, please get in touch to see if we can squeeze you in!
If you are birthing and going home within 24 hours, you are welcome to have your Fresh 48 session in your home on the Northside of Brisbane. Southside, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast locations incur a travel fee.
sharing a maternity room?
If you’re in a shared room with other families, we can still photograph your Fresh 48 session!
If you’re near a window, perfect! We can work with that. We also carry studio lighting if there’s not enough adequate light.
If you’re curtained off, consider walking or being wheeled to a nearby window in the corridor. Many Brisbane hospitals have chairs at the end of the corridors, with beautiful window light.

Above all, don’t stress! We’ll get beautiful photos of your baby, whether you’re in a private room, shared room, or at home.
fresh 48 sessions at home
There’s many reasons to photograph your Fresh 48 session at home – and if you’re delivering at the birth centre, or leaving hospital within 24 hours, your session will be held at home.
If your babe is unwell, premature, or needs an extended stay in hospital, your session will be held at home, when the time comes. There’s no urgency – we’ll photograph you when baby is healthy and ready.
Your home session is much like a hospital Fresh 48 – just more relaxed, having gentle hugs on your couch, in your own space.
Baby can be photographed in their bassinet, or Moses basket, or on your favourite rug in their nursery.
Home Fresh 48 sessions are beautiful, so if you’d love a session but leaving hospital soon, let’s head to your home!
