It is Australian law that Gift Certificates/Gift Cards that are sold in Australia must have a 3 year validity, with the expiry date clearly stated.

The Newborn Studio offers 2 different types of Gift Certificate – those purchased for a recipient, and those included as part of a promotion, giveaway or in conjunction with a 3rd party or vendor.

Please read the following carefully as the terms and conditions are different, pending on which Gift Certificate you have.

Gift Certificates as a gift

Gift Certificates with a 3 year expiry are purchased by an individual, for a specific amount or photography package, and gifted to the recipient. These do not include purchases of promotions or discounted sessions.
These Gift Certificates may have a whole amount, or a specific package amount, from $50+, from the recipient.

The 3 year expiry period does not apply to Gift Certificates which are available for a limited time, or included as part of a promotion or giveaway, or sold for a limited time.

The expiry dates are specific to the promotion. This includes Black Friday, Valentines Day, and other promotions where a discounted session is purchased as a Gift Certificate. Includes Gift Certificates given from The Newborn Studio to 3rd parties, businesses or vendors, for raffles, auctions, giveaways, competition winners, or similar.

Terms and conditions are not limited to these below.

Your Gift Certificate may be from any amount from $50+ and may not cover the whole photography session.

Your Gift Certificate will list a certain value to put towards a photography session or products. If it does not cover the inclusions or photography session, the recipient is liable to pay the remainder.

There are no refunds or otherwise if the recipient does not want to use the Gift Certificate, or does not want to pay extra towards the session or products, or wants more than what is included.

Second-hand Gift Certificates may be claimed if the original Gift Certificate is presented to The Newborn Studio upon booking. We will not accept Gift Certificates that are destroyed, lost, or unable to be presented. Forged or altered Gift Certificates will be refused. You will be refused our services if trying to scam a Gift Certificate.
Your Gift Certificate must match up with our digital records and invoices.

A Gift Certificate purchased by a friend/relative and gifted to the recipient, can be put towards any photography session offered by The Newborn Studio at the time of booking. This does not include promotions.

The recipient acknowledges that it is their choice to proceed with the photography session, and understand any further costs involved in the photography session and not covered by the Gift Certificate, will be payable by the recipient.

Gift Certificates may be purchased and used by the same person, within the terms of the voucher. Gift Certificates can be given to a friend, however the same terms apply.

Pricing is subject to change, and can change at any time.
Gift Certificates for promotions will be honoured to the value of the gift certificate, within the expiry date.

Gift Certificates used within 3 years may incur price/product changes if the photography session remains unbooked. Once the session date is booked, the current pricing is honoured.

If the session is not booked within 3 years of the purchase date, the Gift Certificate is void and will not be able to be used.

Gift Certificates are not redeemable for cash.

EXCLUSIVE OFFERS

“Exclusive Offers” of discounted sessions or extra inclusions with specific 3rd party vendors are only offered as a partnership between The Newborn Studio and the listed party.

These are not Gift Certificates, they may not have expiry dates, and as such are subject to change or cease at any time. 

Current Exclusive Offer – Aurora Women’s Health

Aurora Women’s Health Exclusive Offer is only valid for current Aurora families under their obstetric care. These cannot be gifted or given away to families outside of Aurora.

Expired Exclusive Offer – Bubs n Grubs

Bubs n Grubs Exclusive Offer was terminated on 16 July 2023 and will not be accepted.
