Newborn Photography Workshop
The Newborn Studio welcomes Photographers for an intimate 1:1 Newborn Posing session, at our newborn photography workshop in Brisbane.
Learn our beautiful, classic style of Newborn Photography with easy setups, neutral colours and beautiful lighting, keeping baby the focus of your photography session.
We only hold 1:1 and 2:1 intimate newborn photography workshops – no large groups here! You’ll be shoulder to shoulder with me, seeing what I see, and learning how I pose and light our families.
The aim of our newborn photographing training workshop is to provide you with the skills to confidently pose your clients, and capture your clients beautifully using studio lighting. You’ll leave with a series of images to use for your own website and socials, a PDF with detailed notes about camera and light settings, and hopefully the enthusiasm to launch forward and photograph more babies!
Newborn photography workshop training is held in our home studio in Murrumba Downs, Brisbane North.

Workshop cost
Workshop cost for a 1:1 session is $850.
Bring a friend for a 2:1 session, $650 each.

Question time
Your training workshop includes an emailed PDF of instructions on how to create the same images taken during the session. This is emailed to you after your workshop, and includes camera settings and lighting details used on the day.
Pricing is not covered during the workshop, as it is specific to your business model. You will receive links to our business coach so you can invest in that side of your photography business with a qualified life coach.

You’ll be learning these beautiful poses and lighting during our Brisbane workshop.
As is with every newborn session, the baby runs the session! If our model baby is upset on the day or we’re unable to capture enough photographs or poses, we will send them home and practice on wrapped dolls. Unsettled babies are very rare, and I have only had to send home 2 very sad babies in the last 15 years.
studio lighting information
Photographers must bring a professional level SLR camera, a suitable lens (50mm, 35mm or 24-70), and have the ability to use manual settings. Mobile phones are not suitable to use as cameras. Do not film at any time during the workshop.
Important Information
We will be using studio light during your session. Please ensure you have a hot shoe on the top of your camera to connect to a transmitter. If not, please contact Claire prior to your session. If your camera does not work with our flash equipment, we will loan you a camera to use during your training.
If you have not used a transmitter on your camera before, please research your camera model’s flash function settings. You may need to change the flash control settings, depending on the camera model you use. We use Phottix brand transmitters.
