As a newborn studio photographer, I absolutely love having a minimal, clean, safe space for my babies and clients.
Safety and comfort are paramount. In my studio, surfaces are sanitised, floors are clean, and props and materials are washed and fresh.
The temperature is kept warm and cozy, perfect for delicate newborn skin, and also cool for parents.
And with a variety of (fairly neutral!) materials and throws, we can create a range of beautiful, timeless images tailored to your style.
Safe Baby Handling
I’ve been a studio photographer specialising in newborns for over 10 years, and I have extensive experience handling hundreds (possibly over 1000) babies gently and safely.
I may not have been able to settle my own kids as newborns (haha), but I’ve definitely learnt a thing or two, and I know the best techniques to soothe your babies, and capture those sleepy, peaceful poses.
I’m not called the “Baby Whisperer” for nothing!
During your Newborn session
Your Newborn session will be calm, relaxing and beautiful.
First, we’ll photograph your baby along with any siblings (especially little ones!) and family.
Next, after we’ve captured beautiful sibling photos, those big kiddies can head outside into our fully fenced yard to play on the playground, while we concentrate on baby’s photos.
Then, we’ll capture details, curled-up back rolls, tiny feet and hands, and photograph any sentimental items you would love included in your session.
Your Newborn session doesn’t end there – I love showing off your photos on the big screen, so you’ll be invited back to the studio for your Design Appointment! This is where you’ll be choosing your fave photos and deciding on your prints or products.
And if you’re purchasing any Wall Art, frames or canvas prints, they’re installed on your walls by our contracted installer. You don’t even need to lift a finger – or a hammer!
It’s all part of the Newborn Studio service.
